Large Western Asiatic Shell Cylinder Seal with Two Registers
Circa 3rd millennium B.C. With linear and ropework borders, frieze in two registers: the upper with seated and standing figures wearing tiered robes, the lower with antelopes, human figures and fronds. Cf. Teissier, B., Ancient Near Eastern Cylinder Seals in the Marcopoli Collection, Berkeley, 1984, item 213, for type.
