Medieval Silver Ring with Fleur-de-Lys
15th-16th century A.D. With slender round-section hoop supporting a discoid bezel with incuse stylised fleur-de-lys. Cf. Chadour, A.B., Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 641. 2.02 grams, 21.27mm overall, 18.62mm internal diameter (approximate size British R, USA 8 1/2, Europe 18 3/4, Japan 18) (3/4 in.).
English collection, 1980s. Acquired on the UK art market. Ex property of an Essex gentleman. Ex private Merseyside, UK, collection. [No Reserve]
