Description
Natural History - Historic Mixed Mineral Collection
Comprising: sphalerite; barite from Zambia; cassiterite; two samples of felspar pyromorphite; psilomelane dendrite; botryoidal haematite; Blue-John from Derbyshire; native silver; and a lava bomb from Eyjafjallajökull, Iceland. 782 grams total, 30-96 mm (1 1/8 - 3 3/4 in.).
Collected in person from various parts of the world mainly between 1957-1966. From the private mineral collection of Stephen Atkinson, Harpenden, UK. Accompanied by a copy of a letter from the vendor giving details of him collecting these minerals throughout his life.
