Description

Middle Bronze Age, circa 2000-1800 B.C.. Of globular profile with strap handle and tall scooped spout; applied lugs to the shoulder, incised zigzag ornament; spout with pierced lug to the underside and band of impressed pellets. 935 grams, 32 cm (12 1/2 in.).

From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000. From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent. [No Reserve]
