Description
Archaic, circa 6th century B.C.. Modelled in the round with fur texture detailing to the rump and forelegs; repaired; mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. similar in the British Museum under accession no.1923,0212.161, for type. 314 grams, 11.2 cm high including stand (4 3/8 in.).
From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000. From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent. [No Reserve]
