Description

5th-4th century B.C.. Tubular with flared foot and raised rim to underside, horizontal ribbing to the sidewall, small loop handle. Cf. similar in the British Museum under accession no. 2000,1030.1. 13.2 grams, 85 mm (3 1/4 in.).

Acquired in the mid 1980s-1990s. Private collection, Switzerland, thence by descent. Private collection, since the late 1990s. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate number no.12215-222327. (For this specific lot, 5% import VAT is applicable on the hammer price.)
