3rd-2nd century B.C.. Barrel-shaped hoop with ellipsoid bezel, incuse gryphon standing in profile; Eastern Greek. 5.42 grams, 21.89 mm overall, 17.64 mm internal diameter (approximate size British K 1/2, USA 5 1/2, Europe 10.58, Japan 10) (3/4 in.).
UK private collection before 2000. Acquired on the UK art market. Property of a London gentleman. [No Reserve]
