Description

Augustus III of Poland, Thaler Leipzig 1755 EDC Initials EDC, on the reverse, Ernest Dietrich Croll, mintmaster of the Leipzig mint in the years 1753-1757 and 1762-1764. Unnatural look due to improper cleaning.
Obverse: bust in a crown and armor covered with a cloak with the Order of the Golden Fleece on the chest D G AVGVSTVS III REX POLONIARUM Reverse: under the crown in a wreath of palm branches, a five-field coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (squared Polish Eagle and Lithuanian Chase, in the heart field the two-field coat of arms of Saxony, Electoral Swords and Belts Belted with Ruta), below the initials EDC SAC ROM IMP ARCHIM ET ELECT 1755
Diameter 42 mm, weight 28.98 g
Na rewersie inicjały EDC, Ernest Dietrich Croll, mincmistrza mennicy w Lipsku w latach 1753-1757 i 1762-1764. Nienaturalny połysk na skutek nieumiejętnego mycia. Na rewrsie widoczne ślady po zapince.
