Very Rare Silver eagle pendant. 1st - 2nd century AD. There is a golden wire imitating a harness going roung the neck through the belly and around the foot. Standing on a square base, with large suspension hoop to the rear;
Note: The eagle was a powerful symbol to the Roman military. With each Roman legion a special eagle-bearer (aquilifer) had the honor of carrying the Legionary Eagle standard into battle and to guard its existence.
